The BC Jindal Group has unveiled plans to invest INR 15,000 crore by 2030 to establish multigigawatt-scale manufacturing capacities for solar cells and modules, battery cells and packs, and solar glass.
Recently, the BC Jindal Group's JIRE secured a 300 MW solar-plus-battery energy storage project (BESS) from NHPC. It has also announced plans of strategic acquisitions of operational and pipeline renewable energy assets across India and globally.
Production units will come up in either Maharashtra or Gujarat. Around 40 per cent of the output will be used for the group's own green energy projects. BC Jindal's renewables arm JIRE recently bagged a 300 MW solar-plus-storage project from NHPC.
