Essential Power Solutions
With multiple battery chemistries, including hybrid options, Stryten Energy''s BESS seamlessly integrates renewable sources into your power mix, ensuring stable and dependable back-up
Figure 1: A simplified project single line showing both a battery energy storage system (BESS) and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The UPS only feeds critical loads, never losing power.
While the BESS can start up quickly, it is not instant and there will be a brief voltage supply disruption during startup. As a precaution, the system will require a separate UPS to power sensitive or critical components, potentially including the controller for the BESS.
What is a UPS? An uninterruptable power supply (UPS) is a type of backup battery that will continue to provide electrical power to the electronics that you have plugged into it even if electricity from your home outlets cuts out. Unlike a backup generator, it does not need to power up in order to start generating power.
Choosing between Battery Energy Storage Systems and Uninterruptible Power Supplies depends on several factors, including your specific energy requirements, budget, and the critical nature of your applications. If you need continuous power for sensitive equipment and cannot tolerate interruptions, a UPS may be the better choice.
