Battery connectors | HARTING Technology Group
HARTING''s battery connector series now supports up to 500 A for faster charging and discharging—ideal for high-performance energy storage without overheating.
Battery connectors are engineered to connect a battery in a small electronic product. Our battery wire connector portfolio includes Multi-Direction Interconnection (MDI) System, which enables us to manufacture high density, versatile interconnects with six-position receptacles and headers featuring contacts on a 2.0mm centerline.
The manufacture of battery cells is a highly sensitive process with a wide variety of requirements. Contaminants such as copper, zinc or electrically conductive or non-conductive particles can reduce the quality of the batteries or render them unusable.
Among others, it fulfils the requirements of UL 4128 for connectors in electrochemical battery system applications, UL 1973 for batteries in stationary applications, for emergency power supply for vehicles and in light rail applications, and UL 9540 for energy storage systems and accessories.
Battery production is an extremely sensitive process. Every step, whether processing, transporting or quality inspection, requires a clean production environment. Find out how to produce safe batteries with non-ferrous metal-free automation components in our 'Products for battery production' catalog.
