Some legislative solutions, such as amendments to the existing cable pooling regulations, are linked with the Polish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (reform G1.2.2 “Removal of barriers to the integration of renewable energy sources into electricity grids”).
The amendment also introduces a new type of grid connection agreement designed to address the limited capacity of Poland's infrastructure. Under the proposed rules, DSOs and TSOs will be able to offer flexible connection agreements in areas where the grid is currently constrained.
It introduces several important changes to the current regulatory framework for grid connection. The proposal is aimed at optimising the use of existing grid infrastructure and increasing the transparency of the grid connection process. Public consultations of the Project are now open.
