Turning off base stations with steam vr : r/ValveIndex
When the SteamVR Status window (with the headset/controller/base station icons) is up and everything is green, click the menu button in the top left corner of the status window
Mobile base stations are normally hooked up to the power grid, using that electricity to amplify the cell signal to the broader area. During a power outage, an on-site battery kicks in to keep the tower running. If the outage persists, a crew could arrive with a diesel generator to keep powering the tower.
Press the Channel buttons at the back of the base stations so that one base station is set to channel “A”, while the other is set to channel “b”. Once turned on, do not move or adjust the angles of the base stations as it could disrupt the tracking process.
When I click quit Steam VR and the headset is off, the base stations continue to stay on. How can I turn them off without unplugging the power cables? EDIT: Go to Steam VR Settings > Base Station > Power Management > Enable Power Management Go into vr settings and make sure the blutooth box is checked.
There is no base station power menus anymore in steam VR as of last update. I hear them running and spinning all night. unplug them? Obviously just a work-around but just unplug them. Maybe they need a hard reset after an update? Bluetooth power mgmt is still an option in SteamVR and that is what manages them. Originally posted by romano21A:
