UPS Management Software Guide
During a power disturbance, PowerChute software allows you to remotely shutdown your connected critical devices, preventing potential data loss
Properly shutting down a solar PV system is a common concern among users. Within the entire system, the AC side can be disconnected via the NFB (no-fuse breaker) on the AC distribution panel.
A solar disconnect switch is a critical safety component that allows you to safely shut off power flow in your solar energy system. Whether you're a homeowner, installer, or system designer, understanding these essential devices can mean the difference between a safe, code-compliant installation and a potentially dangerous situation.
Your solar PV system should now be completely switched off. All lights and screen displays will be dead. Keep the system off for a minimum of five minutes. To re-start your system, follow this guide in reverse order. ie. DC isolator on first, followed by AC isolator, followed by your solar supply main switch.
PowerChute Network Shutdown works in conjunction with the Schneider Electric Network Management Card (NMC) to communicate with the UPS to protect the physical and virtual environments. Each Smart-UPS requires its own NMC to communicate with the PowerChute software.
